  • The cost of PV has decreased significantly, and the trend continues
    Jul 17, 2023
In 2021, the new installed capacity of photovoltaic is about 170-180GW, and the total amount is close to 1000GW. The top three countries in per capita installed capacity are Germany, Japan and Spain. The average annual growth rate of new PV installed capacity in the world is about 40%.   Cost: The cost of PV has decreased significantly, and the trend continues   Technological progress and industrial scale promote the rapid decline of LCOE and PPA. From 2010 to 2019, the efficiency of single crystal cells increased from 17.5% to 22.3%. The industrial scale has greatly reduced the construction cost of photovoltaic power stations, among which, photovoltaic grade polysilicon has been reduced from $52 / kg in 2011 to about $7/1000g in 2022. China PV LCOE in 2019 is about 0.054USD/kWh.

  • China became the country with the largest investment in new energy
    Jul 17, 2023
In terms of total investment, after 2013, China became the country with the largest investment in new energy. In 2017, China reached 140 billion US dollars, while Europe and the United States were 49 billion and 48 billion US dollars respectively in the same year, from the perspective of investment intensity, China > Europe > America. China's investment intensity has stayed ahead after 2012, often accounting for more than 0.6% of GDP, with the highest level ranging from 0.9% to 1.2%. The investment intensity in Europe remained at about 0.35% after 2013 and reached a record high of nearly 0.7%. The intensity of new energy investment in the United States has remained at about 0.25% in the past decade.

  • The pv generation of photovoltaic power generation has been improved year by year
    Jul 17, 2023
The present situation: the growth rate of photovoltaic and electricity generation in China is significant in the annual growth rate of the photovoltaic power generation, which is 70%, while nuclear power and wind power are 17.3% and 23.1%, and photovoltaic growth is leading in recent years. The pv generation of photovoltaic power generation has been improved year by year, and the number of photovoltaic installations in China has reached 3.9%by 2021. In the third quarter of 2021, China's distributed photovoltaic capacity exceeded centralized photovoltaic.   Harnessing Solar Energy with PV Generation:   Photovoltaic power generation is the process of converting sunlight directly into electricity using solar panels. These panels, made of semiconductor materials like silicon, capture photons from sunlight and generate an electric current. Over the years, researchers and engineers have tirelessly worked to improve the efficiency of solar cells, allowing them to absorb more sunlight and produce higher amounts of clean energy.   Continuous Advancements and Efficiency Gains:   The progress in PV generation has been nothing short of remarkable. In recent years, we have witnessed significant improvements in solar panel efficiency, leading to increased energy production. Through advanced manufacturing techniques and innovative materials, modern solar panels are now achieving efficiency levels that were once deemed impossible. This means more power is generated from the same amount of sunlight, making solar energy an even more viable alternative to traditional energy sources.   Enhancing Durability and Flexibility:   Beyond efficiency, PV technology has also seen improvements in durability and flexibility. Manufacturers are now incorporating robust materials and protective coatings, making solar panels more resilient to harsh weather conditions. Additionally, flexible solar panels have emerged as a game-changer, allowing for easy integration into various applications, such as solar-powered backpacks, portable chargers, and even building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). The possibilities are endless!   Paving the Path to a Sustainable Future:   The ever-improving PV generation is paving the path to a brighter and more sustainable future. Solar energy has become increasingly accessible and cost-effective, attracting homeowners, businesses, and governments worldwide to invest in renewable energy solutions. With solar power's tremendous potential to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change, PV generation has become a crucial player in the global energy transition.   Join the Solar Revolution:   As PV generation continues to thrive, there has never been a better time to embrace solar energy. Whether you're a homeowner looking to save on electricity bills, a business seeking to reduce carbon footprint, or a visionary entrepreneur exploring new sustainable ventures, solar power is the answer. Embrace the solar revolution and be part of the movement towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable tomorrow.

  • China, Europe and the United States all have relevant policies to support the photovoltaic industry
    Jul 17, 2023
Global photovoltaic industry status, policies and industrial chain profit disassembly. Abundant solar energy resources, photovoltaic development potential; In theory, solar energy could cover the world's total energy consumption. (With a 23 percent photovoltaic efficiency and 70 percent annual sunshine, ideally, about 440,000 square kilometers (roughly the area of Spain) of solar panels would cover the world's total energy consumption in 2021.) In 2021, the new photovoltaic installed capacity in Europe, China and the United States was 54.88/25.8/23.6GW. The cumulative installed wind capacity reached 306/164/122GW. The long-term cost reduction trend of photovoltaic remains unchanged, and the cost has fallen by more than 80% in the past decade. At present, the photovoltaic level calibration cost in Europe, China and the United States has been lower than the cost of traditional fossil energy power generation.   China, Europe and the United States all have relevant policies to support the photovoltaic industry. In terms of investment intensity (proportion of new energy investment to GDP), China > Europe > In the United States, the average investment ratio of the prenatal period is 0.6%/0.35%/0.25%, respectively.   From the perspective of policy support, based on the dual carbon goal and energy transition, China firmly supports the photovoltaic industry. Based on environmentalism and high dependence on fossil energy, the new energy transformation is the best way for Europe to avoid being hampered by external constraints. The overall investment in the United States remains high, but the internal differentiation is more serious; The attitudes of Democratic states and Republican states towards the new energy industry are relatively different, the development of the photovoltaic industry is relatively volatile, and the long-term sustainability needs to be verified.

  • A systematic review of recent air source heat pump (ASHP) systems assisted by solar thermal, photovoltaic and photovoltaic/thermal sources
    Oct 04, 2023
The air source heat pump (ASHP) systems assisted by solar energy have drawn great attention, owing to their great feasibility in buildings for space heating/cooling and hot water purposes. However, there are a variety of configurations, parameters and performance criteria of solar assisted ASHP systems, leading to a major inconsistency that increase the degree of complexity to compare and implement different systems. A comparative literature review is lacking, with the aim to evaluate the performance of various ASHP systems from three main solar sources, such as solar thermal (ST), photovoltaic (PV) and hybrid photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T). This paper thus conducts a systematic review of the prevailing solar assisted ASHP systems, including their boundary conditions, system configurations, performance indicators, research methodologies and system performance. The comparison result indicates that PV-ASHP system has the best techno-economic performance, which performs best in average with coefficient of performance (COP) of around 3.75, but with moderate cost and payback time. While ST-ASHP and PV/T-ASHP systems have lower performance with mean COP of 2.90 and 3.03, respectively. Moreover, PV/T-ASHP system has the highest cost and longest payback time, while ST-ASHP has the lowest ones. Future research is discussed from aspects of methodologies, system optimization and standard evaluation.
